Dr. Deyton is a recognized leader in dentistry. He has twice been named Missouri Dentist of the Year: In 1999 by the Missouri Dental Association and in 2004 by the Missouri Academy of General Dentistry. He wrote the 'Conscious Sedation Manual, a Guide for Missouri Dentists' and he chaired the Missouri Dental Board committee that wrote the rules governing dental sedation in Missouri. The recognition he is most proud of is an independently collected 2003 patient survey in which 100% of his surveyed patients rated their care and service as very good or excellent, with an average rating of 4.98 on a five-point scale.
Dr. Deyton’s recognitions and honors include:
- 1999 & 2004 Missouri Dentist of the Year
- Fellow in the American College of Dentists: Dentists are nominated to the American College by their peers because of their high ethical standards and their contribution to their profession.
- Missouri Dental Board: in 1999, Dr. Deyton was appointed by the governor to the state agency which makes and enforces the rules for practicing dentistry In Missouri.
- President, Missouri Dental Association: Dr. Deyton served as president of the Missouri Dental Association in 2003, representing approximately 2,200 dentists with a common mission to provide the highest quality of care for the public.
Dr. Deyton of Deyton Dentistry practices general dentistry with a focus on cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry* for children, teens and adults. His practice serves patients in Kansas City, Missouri (MO), Kansas City North, and surrounding areas. He is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of General Dentistry and the American Equilibration Society (treatment of TMJ and jaw/bite problems).
*Dr. Deyton received his training in cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry as a part of a post graduate program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation.
